28-year-old motorcyclist killed in I-10 collision Sunday morning

A Pensacola man died in a fatal motorcycle crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 10 near the area of Brent Lane. 

The motorcycle, driven by a 28-year-old man from Pensacola, was driving north on I-10 as he approached a pick-up truck driven by a 33-year-old man from Molino. 

The motorcycle approached the pick-up truck at a high rate of speed, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, and struck the rear of the truck. The motorcycle then collided with a concrete barrier where the driver was thrown from the vehicle. 

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene by Escambia County EMS.
