The Escambia County Sheriff's Office is investing a shooting Thursday afternoon that left one person dead.
Deputies were dispatched shortly after 5 p.m. to a report of a shooting that occurred in the 300 block of Crescent Drive. When they arrived, investigators discovered one deceased man with a gunshot wound, according to ECSO spokeswoman Amber Southard.
As of 5:30 p.m. Thursday, no arrest had been made and authorities had yet to release identifying information about the victim other than that he was a Black male.
